A: It is not hard to create a personalized book for younger children or to make older children side characters in a story. All the publisher has to do is plunk down a different name.
There are, however, technical challenges to offering a well-written story STARRING an older child. More complicated English is required. For example, you say, “I give her book to her.” You don’t say, “I give his book to his.” We have the technology to handle all of these issues. It is also very challenging to make a character the main character without physical description but that is a part of the challenge that is handled uniquely well at Active Literature, along with making interactivity a key feature to get kids excited about reading
A: Our books offer a wide range of interactivity including older children deciding how they want to solve the mysteries. Younger children explore questions that help them learn and grow.

A: Please feel free contact us, with any other questions, by phone (978-475-1874), e-mail, text-message, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, or cans connected by string. We are currently testing a telepathic system but we have no thoughts as to when that will be working.
The standard edition is for ages 8-12. The junior edition is for ages 5-7 and is a "read-it-to-me" book that has removed some of the deductive reasoning that is less enjoyable for some K-2 youngsters. If you are not sure, we recommend the electronic version. It contains both editions that are switch-selectable.
